Everybody loves the international bestseller and award-winning book, The Rainbow Fish, with its wonderful message of friendship and belonging. When Rainbow Fish refuses to share his vibrant, shimmering scales, the whole ocean seems to turn against the him. Unhappy that no one adores him anymore, Rainbow Fish seeks out the wise Octopus, who helps the young fish learn that it’s far better to be admired for being kind than for being beautiful. With a bubbly, energetic score and a script, the universal message at the heart of this one-of-a-kind musical becomes much more than just a simple children’s story.
The performance will be held in front of the Band Shell Pavilion, directly behind the Carriage House. Be sure to bring a chair or blanket. The Friends of Coleman Memorial Park will also be offering Rainbow Fish-themed refreshments, so be sure to bring cash to buy some goodies!
